Heavy Combination (HC class) heavy vehicle licenses allow you to drive:

• Prime movers with an attached single semi-trailer.
• Heavy Rigid (HR class) vehicles with an attached trailer that has a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) greater than 9,000 kg.

HC Vehicles Include:

• Articulated vehicles with three or more axles
• Heavy rigid vehicle trailer combinations including unladen dolly, with three or more axles
• Any towed trailer with a GVM of more than nine tonnes.

Heavy Combination (HC):- This license is required for a prime mover to which is attached to a single semi-trailer that has a GVM more than 9 tonnes. An HC license is also needed for a rigid vehicle to which is attached a trailer greater than 9 tonnes GVM.
